Masker i Marsken – Introduction to Effect Dyeing with Plants

Natural dyeing is deeply fascinating, and time after time it’s astonishing to see how nature can create such beautiful colours. In this workshop, you'll be introduced to the art of plant dyeing and learn about good dye plants and suitable fibres.

We’ll also talk about how to prepare fibres for dyeing, how to treat them afterwards – and of course, we’ll fire up the dye pots and create our own beautiful yarns.

We’ll be dyeing on a variety of yarn bases using two different dye baths.

By the end of the workshop, everyone will go home with at least four different colours, a printed guide, and the knowledge to continue dyeing at home.
